Check this out. I was VERY SKEPTICAL when I first learned of this. But, upon further investigation, I'm confident that it's not a scam. What is it?
Get a FREE IPod Touch (32GB)....yeah.... really.
As some of you know, I used to work for a company that sold ADT security systems door to door. (fun) What we did was give a free security system and free instalation if you sign up for a year of monitoring at $29 a month. I made $150 on each deal so I can only imagine that my company was paid much more by ADT for each deal. It doesn't seem to make sense. How does ADT make any money? Well, I'll tell you. It's based on statistics. The statistics say that 90% of the customers that sign up for a year become life long customers. So, even if ADT paid us $1000 per deal, they will most likely be getting $30 a month for the next 50 years! You do the math.
So... There are a few companies that use this strategy of paying big bucks to get customers "in the door" knowing that some will not stay but a lot will become regular customers. The people that get the customers in the door are paid large bounties for their efforts and they in turn "hire" you (or me) to spread the word of whatever these companies are offering. This (if I make any sense at all) is how we get free IPods.
